Periodic Table Has New Elements

4 new elements are added in the Periodic Table.

113 Ununtrium (Uut)
115 Ununpentium (Uup)
117 Ununseptium (Uus)
118 Ununoctium (Uuo)

new elements in the Periodic Table

These new elements are labelled as "Superheavy" because they contain more than 104 protons.

Note that they were created using particle accelerators.

113 Ununtrium (Uut), was discovered by Japanese researchers at the Riken institute.

115 Ununpentium (Uup) and 117 Ununseptium (Uus), were discovered by researchers from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, Russia, the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee.

118 Ununoctium (Uuo), was discovered by a joint team of Dubna and Livermore researchers.

It was in year 2011 when 114 Ferovium (Fl) and 116 Livermorium (Lv) were added in the Periodic Table.
